How Do Women Take Hair Loss?
I think the problem of hair fall by women is a deep psychological problem. As far as I know the majority of women lose their hair because of an illness like cancer and this affects them a lot. It is more than something superficial, like they are worried of what they would look like if they will be bald. It is more complex than that. Of course losing your beautiful hair as a woman can be shocking and it can feel like losing you sex-appeal.
But, I think women take this serious issue with more dignity than men.
I can not imagine how it could be for both men and women; I don't know what I would do. I think fear is the first thing you feel. I think women are afraid of what is going happen and not how they will look like. They must feel weak and hopeless especially if they suffer form cancer or another disease. A woman with cancer feels too much pain and anger to think about how she will look like bald.
I don't know why, but I have this picture in my mind that women with hair fall - I mean serious hair fall- are those women who have cancer, and men mostly lose hair because of old age or it is in their genes. Surely there are other cases too, for example women can lose hair after giving birth and breast feeding. Of course this doesn't affect someone as much.
In general women take a lot of things more seriously and more deeply than men, if something happen they tend to see the inner, psychological side of things rather than the superficial or practical side. Of course there are exceptions on both sides.
Women deal with hair problems with the help of practical things. The majority of women use health products, in the worst case they buy beautiful scarves and wear a different scarf to each outfit.
What I'm trying to say is that I don't think women are afraid that they won't be success with men, they don't care what people are going to say or think if they are bald. I think the major psychological effect on women is that they are afraid that they lose their feminine side. Women have this habit of thinking less of themselves as they really are.
They don't feel good enough, smart enough, sexy enough, and so on. And if a problem like hair fall occurs it makes them even more frustrated. They feel that their personality isn't the same anymore and they don't feel strong enough to struggle against it.
